BLACK FOREST SYNERGY—SCHNEIDER AND MOLOTOW™ PARTNER UP

What can be expected when an innovative manufacturer for writing instruments partners with a dynamic company with its own urban brand? The possibilities are endless!

In 2016, Schneider Schreibgeräte GmbH (EST 1938) and the Feuerstein GmbH (EST 1959) brand MOLOTOW™ signed a long-term partnership. This collaboration allows greater technology developments that will benefit the product lines of both Schneider and MOLOTOW™. In addition, Schneider took over the international distribution of the MOLOTOW™ fine art product line to 11 countries—including Germany.

The decisive factor in this collaboration was a shared philosophy that emphasizes sustainability, high quality and innovation. As family businesses from the Black Forest, MOLOTOW™ and Schneider share more than just its residence—both companies represent high-quality writing tools and application and each has gained fame for sustainability. Since 1998, Schneider has been certified with the world’s most demanding regulation, the EU Eco Audit EMAS. This stringent environmental management system requires ecologically friendly products, procedures and processes. Moreover, MOTOLOW™ is known for its innovative sustainability with its refillable markers and exchangeable tips. In addition to avoiding unnecessary plastic waste, the company gains more than 75% of its energy used for operations from solar panels.

Both enterprises stand for high quality innovations:

Since the beginning, nothing has changed Schneider’s basic idea “to produce high-quality writing instruments to everyone”—from ball pen refills, to the legendary K 15 ball pen (Beetle), to the new Viscoglide® technology, to the new generation of rollerballs with the One series.

The history of MOLOTOW™ is quite similar. Jürgen Feuerstein rocked the spray paint industry with the first urban art optimized spray can CoversAll™. Since then, he continually applies for patents for sustainable application tools that bring innovation to an entire industry.

CEOs Jürgen and Schneider believe this partnership is promising for a number of reasons. On the one hand, MOLOTOW™ and Schneider are natural neighbors with their product varieties—pens for the day-to-day as well as for art applications. On the other hand, and this one is crucial, they think the same when it comes to sustainability, fairness and product quality.

So, what can be expected from this partnership? Everything!
